"Continuity and Change in Public Law" with the University of Notre Dame

The Programme for the Foundations of Law and Constitutional Government co-sponsored with the Notre Dame Program on Constitutional Structure a workshop on "Continuity and Change in Public Law". The workshop, which was held in the University of Notre Dame's London campus, helped form transatlantic links in the study of public law.

Papers discussed the separation of powers and the appropriate constitutional role of the judiciary, John Rawls and notions of perpetual constitutional provisions, Guantanamo Bay under the Obama administration, legal change during the Great Depression, theories of precedent, and the forming of the Plantagenet constitution.
