Ethan Ostrow

Biography
Ethan Ostrow is a Marshall Scholar and MPhil candidate at the Center for Socio-Legal Studies, supervised by Prof. Agnieszka Kubal. His research focuses on the politics of restorative and transformative justice in the United Kingdom, with a focus on their uneven institutionalization.
Before joining the CSLS, Ethan earned his BA in Law, Letters, and Society, and his MA in Political Science (Political Theory) at the University of Chicago. His previous research focused on the political, ideological, and affective lives of prison guards. He also studied decarceration and restorative justice in the US and Europe with funding from the Stamps Scholarship.
