Team from Oxford reaches Grand Final of LSE Featherstone Moot
The LSE Featherstone Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Moot is an annual competition tackling issues in the law of equalities and human rights. It is one of the largest public law moots in the country - this year 22 teams competed, with each team arguing both sides of the case at least once. This year's problem concerned apparently contradictory provisions of the Human Rights Act and the Equality Act as applied to a fostering charity's capacity to restrict its membership according to religious criteria.
Aurora Guerrini (Worcester College) and Nicholas Stone (Harris Manchester College) reached the Grand Final, finishing as runners-up to a team from King's College London.
