Introductory Session of Feminist Jurisprudence Discussion Group
Dr Silvana Tapia Tapia, a research fellow at the Birmingham Law School and a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow, will present her award winning book Feminism, Violence Against Women, and Law Reform: Decolonial Lessons from Ecuador. The book traces the history of feminist-led criminal law reform for tackling violence against women in Ecuador. It 'invites questions regarding the links between “carceral feminism”, neoliberal globalisation, and the co-option of social movements'.
