Biography

Sophie Cartwright is a Research Associate at the Centre for Criminology and the senior policy officer at the Jesuit Refugee Service UK where she conducts research relating to immigration detention, forced migration, and the asylum system. Recent work includes research on abuse and mistreatment in immigration detention in light of the Brook House Inquiry. She has previous experience of supporting people through the asylum system.
