Serene Singh

Biography

Serene Singh is a Criminology DPhil Candidate who attends the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar in association with Christ Church College.

Singh's research explores the material experiences of women on death row while in prison in the United States.

Singh is the Founder of The Serenity Project nonprofit which empowers marginalized women survivors through skills-based courses and mentorship programming. Singh plans to continue working to highlight the lived realities of women in all areas of life, especially those in the criminal justice system.

Singh holds a Suma Cum Laude BA from the University of Colorado in Political Science and Journalism as well as a Master's in Public Policy from the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford.
