Rikki Wolkind

Rikki has had a career in social research and policy across the charity and public sector. Her work has focussed on issues of social exclusion, particularly in relation to the criminal justice system. She recently spent three years carrying out research, policy and strategy projects for the Ministry of Justice. This included projects across courts, sentencing, prisons, probation and youth justice policy.

Her PhD research compares the experience of families with a member in prison across England and Scotland, examining the socially constructive role of penal policy.
