Neil Sampson
Biography
Mr Neil Sampson has been a partner of Rosenblatt since 1994 and his broad portfolio of expertise includes domestic and international dispute resolution, corporate and commercial transactions (both in the UK and internationally), property transactions and a range of private client matters. He has worked on the listing of a number of Chinese companies on the London Stock Exchange, while his dispute resolution experience covers a broad range of domestic and commercial litigation, including international arbitration.
Neil is also responsible for the firm’s private client work, including wills and probate, and his diverse experience includes a period as a corporate bankruptcy inspector in Montreal, acting on the acquisition and disposal of major chemical plants in Europe, Asia and South America, and representing a sovereign government in international arbitrations.
Neil promotes the work of Rosenblatt in many jurisdictions throughout the world with clients from many countries including China, India, Mongolia and sub-Saharan Africa. He works closely with UKTI and other government and non-government trade promotion bodies, often representing the interests of the City of London and UK business as a whole at international meetings.
Neil originally joined Rosenblatt to develop its international business, in particular in China and the rest of Far East. Neil has been active in China since 1985 and is a consultant to Rosenblatt’s associate firms in Hong Kong and China. He is a Freeman of the City of London and Liveryman, Director of the China-Britain Business Council, a co-opted member of the Board of the Great Britain China Centre and a member of the Law Society International Issues Committee.
