Biography

Muzaffer Eroğlu is an assistant professor at Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Law, Istanbul, Turkey. He lectures on company law, corporate governance, sustainability and business and human rights. Dr Eroglu holds an LLB from Ankara University, an LLM from the University of Kent and a PhD from Queen Mary, University of London. He is a member of the Ankara Bar.

His academic research focuses on company law, corporate governance, business and human rights, sustainability, and law and economics. He published his PhD thesis as a book, "Multinational enterprises and tort liabilities". His book focuses on the liability of multinational enterprises for their human rights and environmental breaches. He also publishes several articles regarding sustainable business and regulations regarding responsible business conduct. Currently, her search focuses on sustainable business, corporate governance and the relationship between sustainability and law and economics.

Muzaffer was formerly a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law and the European University of Institute. Muzaffer was also a member of the Sustainable Companies Project organised by the University of Oslo.

His work at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights will focus on the effect of new technologies on the discussion regarding the liability of multinational enterprises for human rights and environmental breaches.
