Marlou Overheul

Biography

Marlou is a recognised student at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies. Her research concerns compensation schemes for occupational diseases as an alternative for liability law. Two Dutch compensation schemes that have been established for damage caused by chromium-6, serve as case studies.

Marlou obtained her Bachelor of Laws and Master of Private Law (both cum laude) at the honors programs of Utrecht University. Before starting her PhD research, she worked as a researcher at the Supreme Court of the Netherlands.
