Biography

Luke is a DPhil student in Anthropology at the University of Oxford. His main area of research interest is deportation, particularly, of ex-offenders from the UK. He examines issues of immigration detention, foreign national offenders in prison, and the experiences of deportees and their families post-removal. More broadly, his research deals with issues of race, gender, and criminality in the construction of deportable subjects. Luke holds a BSc in Sociology (University of Bristol) and an MSc in Migration Studies (University of Oxford).
