Katharina Neumann

Biography

Katharina is a DPhil candidate in Law at Green Templeton College, supervised by Professor Lavanya Rajamani.

Her research focuses on the regulation of agricultural emissions within the framework of International Environmental Law. She is investigating state obligations to reduce agricultural emissions under the UN Climate Change Regime and other Multilateral Environmental Agreements. She aims to determine how and to what extent International Environmental Law can address agricultural emissions to support the objectives of the Paris Agreement.

Katharina earned her LL.B in Law and Political Science with distinction from Trinity College Dublin. During her time at Trinity, she served as the deputy editor-in-chief of the legal gazette "The Eagle" and held the position of Vice-President of the European Law Students' Association Ireland. Additionally, she graduated with distinction from the University of Oxford, where she obtained a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL). Currently, Katharina works as a Research Fellow with the Climate Litigation Network.
