Jonas is a DPhil candidate at Somerville College, University of Oxford. His research focuses on delivery as a means of transferring title to personal property in English law. He also has a general interest in property law and the law of obligations. Jonas's research was formerly supervised by Professor Birke Häcker. It is now supervised by Professor Luke Rostill and is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the Ruth Adler Scholarship at Somerville College, and a Clarendon Scholarship.
Jonas has completed a BA in Jurisprudence, for which he won several prizes for best performance, and the BCL at St John's College, University of Oxford.
