Despoina Vasilaki

Despina is a DPhil in Law candidate at the University of Oxford, Mansfield College, focusing on legal issues around masculinities, fatherhood and families, under the supervision of Professor Jonathan Herring and Professor Rachel Taylor. Supported by generous scholarships from the Faculty of Law, she completed the MPhil in Law and the BCL with Distinction.

Despina has taught Medical Law at Queen Mary University of London, where she remains an active member of the Childhood Law and Policy Network. At Oxford, she convenes the Children Rights Network within the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights, as well as the Family and Medical Law Discussion Group in the Faculty of Law.
