Carlotta Latini

Carlotta Latini is currently conducting research, funded by the Italian Ministry of Universities (PRIN), on the right to land and collective land rights.

The research began in the former territories of the Papal State, in Italy, through the studies of Giacomo Venezian and Giovanni Zucconi, and continued in a comparative perspective, analyzing how collective land rights are diffused and regulated in other countries. Part of the research took place in Argentina (UBA) and Peru (PUCP), examining the main cases of exclusion of these rights to the detriment of native populations, and in Australia, at the Melbourne School of Law, where she investigated the well-known Mabo-case.
