Ben Mkalama
Biography
Ben has a unique blend of experience that ranges from academia, research and industry. He has over six years of scholarly research experience in different aspects of innovation, digitization, economics and enterprise development. With more than 25 years of working experience in senior leadership and management positions with international financial and local organisations in Africa, he is presently a business consultant and part time University lecturer. His recent research interests have been in entrepreneurship and digital innovations with an emphasis on small and medium enterprises. Based in Kenya, his role will be to carry out research that seeks to understand how politics is shaping the use and applications of Artificial intelligence. His prior experience adds additional insights from the users perspective on internet and its applications.

- Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from University of Nairobi, Kenya.
- Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from Oriel college, University of Oxford (UK).
- Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Egerton University, Kenya.
