Biography

Amy Buckley is a DPhil in Law candidate at the University of Oxford, a published academic, and an experienced litigator. Amy is undertaking her doctoral research supervised by Paul Yowell in public international law, focusing specifically on comparative constitutional law and theories of constitutional change. 

Amy completed her Bachelor of Law (First Class Honours) at Macquarie University in Australia, where she received the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Law. Amy also received a full scholarship to complete both a Master of Research in 2021 (MRes) and a Master of Philosophy in 2023 (MPhil) in comparative constitutional law. Amy’s last publication explored federalism and constitutional hyper-rigidity in Australia, the United States, and Ireland, and she has an upcoming publication in the 2025 iteration of the International Review of Constitutional Reform. Amy has also been qualified to practice law since February 2020 and has worked as a commercial litigator across a range of Australian jurisdictions since that time.
