Biography

Kathryn is a doctoral student who is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council Collaborative DPhil studentship. Her research is supervised by Professor Ian Loader. Her research focuses on issues of trust, blame and confidence within South Wales Police.

Prior to undertaking the DPhil, Kathryn completed the MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Oxford. She also holds a first-class undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology. Kathryn is also employed as the Force Management Lead for HMICFRS.

Away from the University, Kathryn also volunteers for the Alice Hawkins Community Group, a voluntary organisation that ensures those who are homeless, vulnerably housed or on a low income have access to food and other essential items.
