Work by Hugh Collins and Tarun Khaitan cited by Indian Supreme Court

Foundations of Indirect Discrimination Law
The introductory chapter, authored by Hugh Collins and Tarun Khaitan, of ‘Foundations of Indirect Discrimination Law’ (edited by Collins and Khaitan) has recently been cited by the Indian Supreme Court in a significant case on indirect discrimination.  The judgement relates to female army officers successfully making a claim of discrimination.

This comes after its citation (in separate cases) by the Canadian Supreme Court.

In addition a chapter by a Canadian scholar in the edited collection was cited by the Ontario Court of Appeal last year.

Work by Professor Sandy Fredman has also been cited in both the Indian and Canadian cases
