Our Dean talks about equality on International Women’s Day

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we asked the Dean of the Faculty, Mindy Chen-Wishart, to reflect on equality and diversity in the legal sphere and share her insights into how we might work together to combat gender imbalance. 

Mindy voices her concern that that publication rates for women in academia have gone down during the pandemic, while those for men have gone up significantly.  She shares some advice she received when she was a junior academic at Oxford and talks about what needs to change to encourage more women to take up careers in Law.
