Jonathan Herring contributes to new book on decriminalising abortion

decriminalising abortion in the UK HERRING book cover
Jonathan Herring has contributed a chapter to a new book on the policy implications of the proposed decriminalisation of abortion in the UK.

'Decriminalising Abortion in the UK: What would it mean?' explores the practical consequences that decriminalisation would have.  It challenges the assumptions that doing so would lead to an increase in the number of abortion; or would negative impact on women's health; or that it would lead to termination of pregnancy being deregulated.  The book argues that decriminalisation promotes women's safety, health and autonomy.
