10th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition 2018

The 10th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition was held in the Palais des Nations, Geneva in July 2018. The Competition is organised by the Centre for Human Rights,  based at the University of Pretoria, with the support of the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.

The Bonavero Institute of Human Rights along with Oxford Lawyers Without Borders organised the Inaugural Oxford Human Rights Moot. This moot functioned as the selection round for the Mandela moot.

Grace Attwell (Merton College) and Subhalakshmi Kumar (Lincoln College) were judged to be the best speakers of the internal moot, and were selected to represent the University of Oxford, with Grace Cheng as the coach. Grace and Subhalakshmi subsequently proceeded to the semi finals of the Mandela Moot. Grace was awarded best oralist overall, and Subhalakshmi was awarded third best oralist overall.
