Oxford ranked first in the English-speaking world for Jurisprudence
For the fourth year running, the University of Oxford has been ranked first in the English speaking world for the quality of its graduate programme in the Philosophy of the Law.
Every few years the international, peer-reviewed, Philosophical Gourmet Report produces a ranking of philosophy programmes based on surveys by experts in each of the assessed specialities. As well as placing second in the world overall, Oxford has again been deemed the strongest for Jurisprudence in 2018.
Edited by Berit Brogaard and Christopher Pynes, and published by Wiley-Blackwell, the Philosophical Gourmet Report bases its evaluations on peer assessments of the quality of faculty and programme strengths in specialist areas. It is widely recognised as the most reliable and influential ranking of its kind.
