Trinity Term building works announcement
During Trinity Term, lectures and classes will take place in the St Cross Building as advised in the lecture lists. The SCR and JCR are now under construction and so any classes or meetings scheduled in these rooms have been rearranged.
As both the ground floor toilets and the female toilets adjacent to the porters’ lodge are now under construction, temporary ladies’ toilets have been installed outside the front of the building and will be operational from Monday 25th April. Male toilets are available on the first floor, adjacent to the porters lodge. There are additional female facilities on the ground floor by the Cube lecture theatre. Accessible WCs are available on the first floor near the English Graduate Common Room (this can be accessed from the ground floor via the lift in the Cube and the Law Faculty gallery) and in the Bodleian Law Library. Additional toilet facilities are also available in the Manor Road Building.
The Missing Bean will be operating throughout Trinity Term from the area outside the English Graduate Common Room on the first floor. By permission of the English Faculty, students and staff are able to use the English Graduate Common Room on the first floor whilst the JCR and SCR are inaccessible. When the space is booked out for English faculty events it will be closed to other users and these bookings will be displayed on the door. The access route to the Missing Bean via the courtyard and the Common Room will also be closed at these times.
Work will take place throughout the summer vacation and anyone who is expecting to use the building over the summer should be aware that there will be significant noise and disruption. The Bodleian Law Library will remain open over the summer and an alternative entrance will be in place. Further information about these arrangements will be circulated at the end of term.
Weekly updates on the building works are available on the project web page.
