New book published: Lange, Haines and Thomas (eds): 'Regulatory Transformations: Rethinking Economy and Society Interactions'

This rich, multidisciplinary collection engages with a critical theme - harnessing the regulatory capacity of a social sphere - which recognizes the embeddedness of economic transactions within a social and political landscape.

A key strength of this book is its integration of three distinct areas of scholarship: Karl Polanyi's economic sociology, regulation studies and socio-legal studies of transnational hazards.

Bettina Lange is Associate Professor in Law and Regulation at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies, Oxford University
