Oxford top for Philosophy of Law

The Philosophical Gourmet Report is the most influential peer-reviewed ranking of philosophy programmes. In the 2014 Report, Oxford has ranked equal second overall in the world (to New York University). Oxford placed in the highest-rated group of universities for Philosophy of Physics, Philosophy of Law, Philosophical Logic, Applied Ethics, Ancient Philosophy, and History of Analytic Philosophy, and in the second group (which is also an excellent result) in Epistemology, Ethics, Political Philosophy, Decision Theory, Philosophy of Mathematics, Mathematical Logic, and 18th Century Philosophy. In Philosophy of Law, Oxford is in a group of one at the top of the ratings. Oxford is the only university to receive the highest possible scores in three areas: Philosophy of Physics, Philosophy of Law, and Ancient Philosophy.
