Marchand Legacy Scholarship
The Marchand Legacy Scholarship is available through the generosity of the Marchand Family to students on the BCL course.
William (universally known as Bill) Marchand was a metallurgist who obtained his education the hard way at night school after work. He appreciated what this had enabled him to achieve and thence what he contributed to the progress and economy of the country. His most significant achievement was project managing the redevelopment of STC's New Southgate site. He was therefore very keen to support scholarship as he had experienced its benefits. One of his grandsons studied at Oxford from 1997-2001. The Marchand scholarship was established from his estate in his memory.
There is no separate application procedure – applicants will be considered automatically if accepted for the BCL.
