Reform of the Listing Rules Online Conference

Global competition among Stock Exchanges for listings has been growing over recent years. As far as the London markets are concerned, the exit of the UK from the European Union has both expanded the freedom of the UK government to respond to this development and, at the same time, arguably reduced the attractiveness of London as a financial centre, thus adding to the incentives of the UK government to exercise its expanded legislative freedom. The purpose of this conference is to examine critically the reform initiatives which the government or the relevant regulator has put in train and to look at associated issues.
