The presentation will discuss the protection of investors against the effect of unfair terms both on the basis of consumer law and beyond consumer law, both regarding EU law and French national law. In doing so, it will consider the meaning of the key concepts of 'investor' and 'consumer words and argue for the need to escape the rhetoric of consumer protection in protecting investors.
