Tamara Lave is a co-editor of The Cambridge Handbook of Policing in the United States (2019) and will present a talk on her chapter Police Sexual Violence.

Tamara Rice Lave is a professor in the University of Miami School of Law. Tamara’s scholarship focuses on campus sexual misconduct, civil commitment of sex offenders, and policing. Tamara was a reporter for the American Bar Association Criminal Justice Section Task Force on College Due Process Rights and Victim Protection, and published a detailed set of consensus recommendations (June 2017) for how universities should adjudicate campus sexual misconduct. Tamara has been the recipient of the 2018 Hausler Golden Apple Award and the 2016 Mary E.
