Led by the Mansfield College MCR Committee, OUDEC 2019 is a student initiated all-day conference focusing specifically on access to education at Oxford. This event is aimed at discussing a number of issues concerning access to Oxford at undergraduate and graduate level, and issues concern accessibility and diversity while a student or staff member here.

The panels will feature a variety of speakers from a wide range of university bodies and outside institutions, all working to address equality and diversity issues for students and staff.

The main deliverable of this conference will be a report that includes a summary of the topics and discussions in the conference, and a list of recommendations to the University and the colleges. Some of the recommendations will be written into motions to be brought up at a Student Council Meeting in Trinity Term.

The conference will take place at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights on Wednesday, 20 Feb. from 10am to 5pm. The conference will be as accessible as possible. All venues have wheelchair access. We are happy to provide BSL interpretation UPON REQUEST, so please make sure to indicate such requirement in the registration.

There are two types of tickets. The Conference Only ticket is free of charge, including a ticket the all-day conference and a free lunch. If attendees wish to meet some of the speakers and continue the discussion, there is also a limited number of dining tickets available for purchase that includes an additional drink reception and a formal dinner at Mansfield College after the conference.
