Lady Black, Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, will be giving a lecture on: “Rules and relationships: are we better off with them or without them?”
Lady Black's talk will examine whether sharply defined and detailed rules in the law help in regulating and shaping the functioning of society, and in resolving disputes in the courts, or whether we might all be better left to work things out for ourselves.
