In his recent book, 'Litigating Religions, An Essay on Human Rights, Courts and Beliefs' (Oxford,2018) Professor Christopher McCrudden explains why human rights litigation concerning religion is increasing across the globe and examines how the resurgent role of religion in public life gives rise to tensions within human rights law and challenges for judges.  At this Discussion Group, Professor McCrudden will present some of the key arguments in his book. 

Professor McCrudden is Professor of Human Rights and Equality Law at Queen’s University, Belfast and William W Cook Global Professor of Law, University MIchigan Law School. He is also a former professor at the Oxford Law Faculty.”
