This invited conference is organised jointly by the Commercial Law Centre at Harris Manchester College, and the Centre for Law and Business, National University of Singapore. It will be attended by 40-50 leading international practitioners, judges and academics.
The conference will consider how the scheme of arrangement is used as a debt restructuring tool in a number of major jurisdictions. The first three sessions will address the scheme of arrangement in the UK, focusing on its evolution, the role of the court, and issues about fairness and valuation. In the remaining sessions, speakers will consider schemes and restructuring procedures in India, Singapore, Germany and Spain.
