Yaaser Vanderman
Yaaser is a nationally-renowned junior human rights barrister at Landmark Chambers. He has acted in some of the highest-profile legal challenges of recent years (including several before the Supreme Court); Yaaser has acted as counsel challenging the Government's 2021 ban on the Sarah Everard vigil, challenging the A-level results system established in England during the Pandemic, challenging the Government's detention of foreign nationals on the basis of ultra vires secondary legislation, and acting for the claimants in the first ever successful challenge to the Universal Credit scheme. Many of Yaaser's cases have been covered extensively in national and international news. Yaaser has also been appointed to the Attorney General's Panel of Counsel. He studied at Cambridge and Harvard Law School, before completing a BCL at Oxford. Join us for this event where Yaaser will discuss his career progression and the nature of work in this area.
