You are invited to attend the Grand Final of the Herbert Smith Freehills Oxford Disability Mooting Championship, which will take place at 3pm on Saturday 10th November 2018, at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights, Mansfield College, OX1 3UA. Watch skilled law students go head to head in this mock court case to debate a legal problem about issues affecting persons with a disability. The talented finalists will showcase the challenges faced by academics and legal practitioners who work in this field. The Grand Final will be judged by Lord Justice Singh, Lord Justice of Appeal in the Court of Appeal of England and Wales; Helen Mountfield QC, founder member of Matrix Chambers and Principal of Mansfield College, Oxford; and Daniel Hudson, Partner at Herbert Smith Freehills. Audience members will have the opportunity to hear the reasoning of these senior judges and witness their interactions with contestants.

To celebrate the centenary of The Parliament (Qualification of Women Act), which gained royal assent in November 1918 this year's panel discussion is on the theme Celebrating the Centenary of Women’s Suffrage: What more needs to be done to improve the enfranchisement and representation of disabled people in British Politics and the Legal Profession?’
