Notes & Changes

This is an external event.

Governance-based research has become the focus of an increasingly important and diverse research agenda within migration studies, with several research centres in the UK (and elsewhere) carrying out interesting and innovative research on the actors, institutions, networks and discourses involved in the governance of migration policies. While much of this research stems from work on multilevel governance within the EU, a growing number of researchers are exploring other forms of governance and their implications for immigration and integration policies both within the EU and beyond. Hence, the aim of this symposium is to bring together a few of the current strands of scholarship in this area and to look at future directions for governance-related migration research.
