FJDG x LPE in conversation with Flick Adams and Fabienne Emmerich, Read & Resist!

Organised by the FJDG, and with help on the day from the LPE DG, please join us for an exciting lunchtime discussion on 8th June with the organisers of Read and Resist! (Twitter: @Read_and_Resist), a collective and collaborative forum bringing together a host of critical voices on all things Transformative Justice.

Formed in June 2020, Read and Resist! is a critical response to COVID-19, the Black Lives Matter movement and the limited avenues to share radical outlooks on these intersecting crises. The collective recognises the importance of an accessible, collaborative public platform to share diverse voices during this crisis and beyond; their goal is to bring together and centre an array of community, activist, student and academic voices whose narratives are often erased or confined to the margins of mainstream and academic discourses. Read and Resist!’s vision is underpinned by an intersectional and abolitionist feminist approach towards transformative justice; read more about the collective’s work on their website.

This event will be an open and informal discussion with Flick (Felicity) Adams and Dr Fabienne Emmerich about their work running Read and Resist!, with attendee questions and participation very much encouraged! Please sign up to attend this event in advance; lunch will be provided, but attendance is being capped at 30 in person to facilitate close-knit and informal discussion.
