Next week, Dr Jamie Bennett, former prison governor, a Director of the Prison Service, and author of ‘Prisoners on Prison Films’, will be joining us to discuss the acclaimed film, Bronson. Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn and starting Tom Hardy, Bronson tells the story of Michael Peterson and the alter ego, Charles Bronson, he developed through his 34 years behind bars as one of the UK’s most violent prisoners. Dr Bennett will introduce the film, then, after the screening, will be involved in a discussion with members of the Oxford Character Project team and will take questions from participants.
