In CJEU C-106/16 - Polbud, the Court held that freedom of establishment grants all EU companies a right to convert themselves into companies of other Member States. Is this the final word? What (if anything) can limit this right? Will the UK now have to accept inbound and outbound cross-border re-registrations? If so, what are the legal requirements applicable to these transactions? To find answers, the lecture will analyse the case law on corporate mobility in Europe from Daily Mail to Polbud.

Prof. Dr. Alexander Schall is a Professor of German, European and International Private and Business Law at Leuphana University, Lüneburg, and an academic visitor at the Commercial Law Centre at Harris Manchester College in 2018.
