This invite only academic/practitioner workshop, funded by the University of Oxford's Economic and Social Research Council Impact Acceleration Account, brings together the Australian Independent National Security Legislation Monitor, UK law reform practitioners in civil society and the bar, and UK academic experts in the field of anti-terrorism law. It provides a unique opportunity for participants to engage in dialogue about the anti-terrorism law reform process in Australia and the UK. The workshop will offer academics insight into the law reform process in both jurisdictions, in particular the role that their research can play in contributing to reviews of anti-terrorism laws. It will also provide law reform practitioners, including the Australian INSLM, opportunity to engage with academic research on subjects directly relevant to their work. This will highlight the relevance of utilising academic research in the law reform process.
