Professor Engstrom will present the results of a major research project advising the U.S. government on AI use by administrative agencies.  Discussion will focus on key legal implications and will span governance tasks (enforcement, adjudication, regulatory analysis, public engagement), policy areas (finance, health, environment, IP, social welfare), and machine learning techniques (analysis of structured data, NLP, vision).

 

Please note: The event will start at 1.30pm but a sandwich lunch will be available from 1pm outside the lecture theatre.
