Digital Communications Officer

Grade 6: £34,982 - £40,855 per annum

The Faculty of Law has an exciting new role who will play a key role in the communications function at the Faculty of Law and provide vital support to the Head of Communications in implementing the Faculty communications strategy. The Digital Communications Officer will deliver an ambitious digital strategy through social media, email newsletters and the Faculty website. They will propose and implement improvements to current working methods and approaches to communications activities in consultation with the Head of Communications.

The postholder will have excellent writing skills and attention to detail, experience of using digital design applications, such as Adobe InDesign or Canva, hands-on experience using website analytics, experience of updating web content through a CMS, knowledge of HTML, and a strong understanding of website accessibility guidelines, web-appropriate content production and search engine optimisation and experience of using video editing software. It would be desirable for the successful applicant to have experience or the desire to learn video production and experience or knowledge or modern digital marketing methods.

The post is permanent and full time. The postholder will be based in the Faculty of Law, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford, OX1 3UL.
