OLBA Changemakers Interview with Henry Louis Gates Jr.
In this episode, Seun Matiluko, founder of the Oxford Law Black Alumni Network, interviews Henry Louis Gates Jr., Alphonse Fletcher University Professor and Director of the Hutchins Center for African & African American Research at Harvard University.
At Harvard, Professor Gates teaches graduate and undergraduate students. Outside of academia, he is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning filmmaker and journalist, perhaps best known for the long-running PBS television documentary series called Finding Your Roots. In 2022, he hosted a four-part television series called Making Black America: Through the Grapevine, featuring esteemed guests including Angela Davis and Fab 5 Freddy. Following the publication of his latest book, The Black Church, Henry Louis Gates presented a four-part television series called Gospel which premiered in February 2024.
