New Medical and Family Law Alumni Group on LinkedIn
Associated people
Medical and Family Law have been a growing areas of scholarship in the Oxford Law Faculty since the early 2000s. Faculty members Jonathan Herring, Rachel Taylor, Lucinda Ferguson, Kate Greasley, Imogen Goold and Shazia Choudhry have published across a very broad range of topics in this area, as well as teaching hundreds of students who have studied on the FHS and BCL courses. They have been joined by Singer Fellows, Charlotte Elves and Heloise Robinson, as well as many visiting academics such as Charles Foster, Hugh Series and Andrea Mulligan, amongst many others. For the past 10 years, the graduate community has also run the very popular Medical Law and Ethics discussion group, begun in 2012 by Andelka Phillips, Kate Greasley, and Jesse Wall. The group is currently convened by Frances Hand. Most recently, the Family and Medical Law research group has instituted monthly lunches, held at and co-funded by TORCH, which are open to all members of the university working in related areas to build community.
The Family and Medical Law group at the University of Oxford is a vibrant, exciting scholarly community, and we are keen to ensure that past students can maintain links with current students and Faculty members. This new alumni group is a first step towards building this community, and we hope our alums, recent and not-so-recent, will join us in making it a success.
