Inaugural Oxford Comparative Moot in German Law 2023

The Institute of European and Comparative Law (IECL) is delighted to announce the inaugural Oxford Comparative Moot in German Law, which will take place on Thursday 2nd February 2023.

The moot will be a unique competition for law students in Oxford to hone their comparative legal skills by advising on German Law in English. It is organised by Dr Johannes Ungerer, Erich Brost Lecturer in German Law and EU Law at Oxford. The inaugural moot will take place at the Faculty of Law on Thursday 2 February 2023 (Hilary Term Week 3), 4 pm. The event has been made possible by a generous donation from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer Rechtsanwälte Steuerberater PartG mbB.

The moot panel will be chaired by Lord Mance, former Deputy President of the UK Supreme Court. He will be joined by Dr Alice Möller-Roth from Freshfields and by Dr Johannes Ungerer. Freshfield partner, Dr Martin Mekat, and his colleagues will be attending the moot as well.

Further information can be found on the Oxford Comparative Moot in German Law website.
