Centre for Socio-Legal Studies co-hosts two-day workshop for early career academics

The Centre for Socio-Legal Studies was delighted to co-host a two-day workshop for early career academics in partnership with the International Journal of Law in Context and the Wolfson College's Law in Societies research cluster.
Ten early career academics were selected from nearly 50 national and international applicants and given the chance to present their work to established academics who gave detailed feedback to them. Participants were also given the opportunity to talk to Mark Hertogh, one of the editors of the Journal and Rebecca O'Rourke from Cambridge University Press about maximising the chances of getting their work published. Much was also gained from informal conversations over dinner, lunch and coffee.
The event was help in the peaceful setting of Wolfson College on the banks of the River Cherwell. We are grateful to Cambridge University Press for their ongoing support for this initiative which helps the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies achieve its goal of building capacity in the field. This was the fifth time that the Centre has collaborated with CUP and the International Journal of Law in Context.
