CCLP event on Trends in Retail Competition

Trends in Retail 2024

Registration is now open for this year’s Oxford Symposium on Trends in Retail Competition, being held at St Catherine’s College, Oxford, and online on Friday 14 June. The programme and registration link can be found at Trends in Retail Competition | Faculty of Law (ox.ac.uk)

Now in its 19th year, the Symposium focuses on policy and its implications for fast moving consumer goods markets, notably grocery, both on- and offline. This year’s programme covers perspectives on price competition, the CMA’s scrutiny of competition in UK grocery, price differences between countries and what they tell us, comparing and contrasting business models in grocery, the optimal regulatory approach to ecosystems vis-à-vis the High Street and the extent to which markets and competition policy can deliver societal goals.
