Call for volunteers - Judiciary-led Court Administration and Judicial Governance
Deadline: 1 November 2024
Oxford Pro Bono Publico (OPBP) is looking for volunteers to provide research assistance for the Council for the Advancement of the South African Constitution (CASAC). The research is on judiciary-led court administration and judicial governance in comparable jurisdictions. Our research will support them in drafting a position paper on reforming the governance of the judiciary with a view to proposing a judiciary-led model for court administration.
The position is open to University of Oxford graduate students either with a previous law degree or with previous experience in the subject area. We are particularly looking for volunteers with knowledge or interest in any of the following jurisdictions: UK, Canada, US, Kenya, Botswana, Singapore, India, Colombia, Brazil, Germany, Hong Kong and Ireland.
We invite research volunteers to contribute to this project. The role is to be undertaken mainly between 5th November 2024 and 15th December 2024. Prof Kate O'Regan will be the faculty supervisor of this project. Research for this project will require approximately 20 hours of your time.
If you are interested in volunteering, please send your CV to opbp@law.ox.ac.uk by Friday, 1 November 2024. Please also mention any specific experience you may have in the above jurisdictions.
Do get in touch with us if you have any further queries regarding the project.
