Bettina Lange wins Teaching Excellence Award

The Faculty is delighted to announce that Dr Bettina Lange from the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies, has received a Teaching Excellence Award for ‘Excellence in Supervision’, from the Social Sciences Division.

The awarding committee said of Bettina’s work:

You have shown a sustained passion, dedication, care and support for your students under difficult circumstances. Your commitment to enable each individual student to develop their own perspective and thus to grow into independent researchers equipped with the skills to develop their own distinct projects was highlighted. Your students valued your insight and direction of their work, whilst encouraging them to pursue their own avenue of inquiry.

 Bettina said:

I am delighted to receive this award, and to work with such inspiring, motivated and interesting students, and would like to thank colleagues for their support.

These annual awards formally recognise the outstanding contributions to teaching, learning and the academic development of students shown by colleagues at any career stage.
